XI’AN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 25, 2009--
Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations (center) stands in
front of the world's largest thin film solar panel (5.7m2) manufactured
by Applied Materials' SunFab production line during a visit to the
company's SunFab Solar Module Reliability Testing facility on Saturday.
Mr. Ban toured Applied Materials’ state-of-the-art solar testing
facility in Xi'an, China and met with executives including, Barry Quan
the president of Applied Materials China Holding Company (left) and Gang
Zou the general manager of Applied Materials Xi'an (right), to discuss
the company’s leadership in energy efficiency technologies that can help
tackle climate change and help China accelerate its emission goals.
